Sophie Hotchkiss is an endurance triathlon coach, registered massage therapist, and the founder of Endura Performance, where she works with triathletes and endurance athletes to build sustainable fitness and achieve meaningful performance gains. Her coaching approach blends structured, science-informed training with a practical understanding of recovery, biomechanics, and long-term athlete development.
Sophie has been involved in triathlon since childhood and brings years of experience training and competing across endurance disciplines. As an Ironman athlete herself, she understands the physical and mental demands of the sport and applies that perspective when guiding athletes through training, race preparation, and season planning.
With a background in both coaching and hands-on therapy, Sophie is known for her holistic yet performance-driven approach. She helps athletes improve technique, build resilience, and train with purpose—ensuring their programs are not only effective, but sustainable alongside work and life commitments.
Her mission is simple: to help athletes of all levels train smarter, build confidence, and race stronger.
Endurance & Multisport Coach, Endura Performance
Nick Leclair is an endurance and multisport coach at Endura Performance with a strong focus on triathlon, ultra-endurance, and run-based training. With formal training in physiotherapy and a deep understanding of human movement, Nick brings a practical, athlete-first approach to coaching that prioritizes both performance and long-term durability.
Nick completed his physiotherapy education in England and currently practices in downtown Toronto. His clinical background allows him to integrate injury prevention, movement quality, and load management into training programs—helping athletes train consistently while reducing unnecessary setbacks.
An Ironman finisher himself, Nick understands the demands of endurance sport firsthand. He began racing triathlon in 2018 and has since made significant personal performance gains, shaping his coaching philosophy around sustainable progression and realistic goal-setting.
Known for his adaptable and athlete-centered coaching style, Nick works closely with athletes to design training plans that fit real life. Whether balancing family, work, school, or unpredictable schedules, he ensures training remains effective, flexible, and aligned with each athlete’s goals.
Exercise Physiologist & Performance Coach, Endura Performance
Gavin McKay is an exercise physiologist and performance coach at Endura Performance, specializing in endurance performance, strength and conditioning, and physiological testing. With a background in kinesiology and exercise physiology, Gavin brings a data-driven approach to coaching that helps athletes train with precision and purpose.
Gavin holds a Bachelor of Health Sciences in Kinesiology and is a registered Exercise Physiologist (CSEP-CEP). He has extensive experience in performance testing, including VO2 max and lactate assessments, and uses this data to identify physiological limiters, optimize training thresholds, and guide effective long-term progression.
In addition to his clinical and laboratory expertise, Gavin is an endurance athlete himself and recently completed his first Ironman 70.3. His experience as both an athlete and coach allows him to bridge the gap between complex physiology and practical, real-world training application.
Known for his analytical yet supportive coaching style, Gavin works closely with athletes to design structured, progressive training programs grounded in sound physiological principles—helping athletes improve efficiency, durability, and performance across all endurance disciplines.
